1. Can I take more than one course?
Yes. Take as many as you want. You might even qualify to be the next STAR of the WEEK.
2. Are there mandatory courses?
Yes. There are 4 Mandatory courses:
- Marketing and Sales Techniques
- Credit Management and Access to Finance
- Sustainability for Small Businesses
- Accounting and Bookkeeping
3. Is there any deadline?
Yes. You must complete at least 2 Mandatory courses before September 9.
4. I got the congratulatory email, but I can’t log in.
- Use the exact email you registered with.
- Click Login, then Forgot Password on the DBN login portal.
- If you are not getting any reset link, try an incognito window / clear cache.
- Still stuck? Reply to your email with the subject “LMS Login Support – NW Cohort” and include name, registered email, phone, and a screenshot. We’ll escalate.
5. How will I know if I’m selected for the workshop?
We’ll notify you by email + SMS/WhatsApp.
6. What is the cutoff mark to qualify for the workshop and pitch showcase?
There’s no fixed cutoff. Selection is a composite of: Mandatory Courses completion, quiz/assignment performance,
Reality check: participants who complete 100% of the Core Path and average 70%+ on quizzes are typically competitive; slots are limited.
7. Are you a financial institution that will give us a loan through DBN?
No. Brand Locus is an implementation partner/facilitator. DBN lends only through Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs). We make you loan-ready (business plan, financials, KYC) and provide warm introductions. Final lending decisions are the banks’, not ours.
8. When is the physical workshop being held?
Workshops are planned for Sokoto and Kano. Exact dates are confirmed after the shortlist and venue lock-in. You’ll get at least 10 days’ notice via email/WhatsApp.
9. I’m hearing-impaired. Will there be an interpreter during the workshop?
Yes, on request. We’ll arrange a Nigerian Sign Language (NSL) interpreter where possible. Please email “Accessibility Request – NW Workshop” with your full name, phone, and preferred city at least 7 days in advance.
